Privacy Policy

Effective July 14, 2026

Nudge is designed so gift-card details and precise location data never reach the developer.

Data stored on your device

Nudge stores the reminder details you enter: store name, balance, optional expiry date, optional last four digits, notes, and optional store coordinates. This information stays in the app's local database on your device.

If a Pro user scans a card, on-device text recognition reads the temporary camera image. Nudge does not upload the photo or recognized text and deletes its temporary image after recognition.

Optional Wallet Mode

Wallet Mode is opt-in. If you add a payment barcode, Nudge stores its full value and optional PIN separately from reminder data using iOS Keychain or Android Keystore-backed encrypted storage. The barcode and PIN are never uploaded, sent to RevenueCat, included in analytics, or included in exports.

You may require Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or device authentication before Nudge displays the Pay screen. Do not rely on Wallet Mode as the only copy of a physical gift card.

Location and notifications

If you enable proximity reminders, Nudge asks for location permission and registers on-device geofences around stores you explicitly save. Nudge does not build, upload, sell, or share a location history.

Notifications for saved stores, expiry dates, and inactivity-fee reminders are scheduled locally. Nudge does not use a remote notification service to send marketing messages.

Purchases and RevenueCat

Nudge uses RevenueCat to process, validate, and restore optional Pro purchases. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app-user identifier, product identifiers, purchase history, entitlement status, and related store information required to provide purchase functionality and subscription analytics.

Nudge does not sell personal data, show advertising, or use purchase information to track people across apps or websites.

Early-access waitlist

If you join the Nudge waitlist, the website stores the email address you submit, whether you joined from the launch page or beta page, and the signup time. Nudge uses this information only for beta invitations, product updates, and launch emails.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. To ask for your waitlist record to be removed before email self-service is available, contact support@scenekind.studio.

Export and deletion

Pro users can export non-secret reminder data. Wallet Mode barcodes and PINs are excluded. Deleting a card or choosing Erase All removes its corresponding secure Wallet Mode entry. Removing the app removes local card data; App Store purchase records remain with Apple and RevenueCat so purchases can be restored. Website waitlist records are separate from the app and can be deleted by contacting support.

Children

Nudge is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13.
